Speaking the Truth God’s Way
Acts 4:29b ….”grant your servants that with all boldness they may speak your Word.”
Women don’t normally have a lot of trouble communicating. Give us a phone, a topic, and some time, and watch us go. All of us have that one friend that can start a conversation with a person in the checkout line and have a new friend by the time they walk out. God values Words too. Scripture even says in John 1:1 HE IS the Word.
With words, our Heavenly Father created the world we live in and us too. The scripture above from Acts helps to remind us that the early church depended on the Lord to guide their Words and when they wanted to speak with more boldness, they asked Him for that too. The Greek Word for boldness is ‘parrhesia’, meaning among other things “cheerful courage.” The amazing thing about this is, being bold doesn’t just mean to be direct and honest, but to say with words what God’s love has revealed in your heart. That’s why they asked God to grant them boldness to speak HIS Word, and not their own. When we allow His Words to flow out of our mouths, we become women that impart love, compassion, peace, and comfort to all who hear us. This week, dear sisters, ask God to grant you Holy Boldness with your Words, words that encourage and uplift while speaking the truth in love. He will because He IS!
Are you speaking Godly words of boldness? Can you allow God’s words to flow out of your mouth?
